I never realized it till today, but the last gen Lincoln MKZ is a sharp looking car. Very rigid, almost suave looking. Like if Don Draper or Sterling Archer were a car.

The new ones are kinda...bleh. Too curvy.

I agree! I loved these. I also like the last generation Fusion better than the Aston Martin sedan one now.

I always liked that gen MKZ. If Archer were to drive a sedan, I imagine this might fit the bill.

If Lincoln does one thing right it's styling.

The rear end is a bit odd though.

I could never get past the fact that the doors and glasshouse were shared with the Fusion, so that the side appearance is basically identical. Made the Lincoln seem like a poor value proposition in comparison.

The Fusion isn't too bad, and Lincolns have historically shared common parts/platforms with Ford/Mercury models. It's less heinous now that Lincoln's no longer aimed at the Rolls Royce set, since they're basically Mercury now.

I don't care about platform sharing, everyone does that. It was the common sheet metal that made the MKZ look like an upscale trim level on the Fusion rather than a truly separate model.

Ford isn't doing that anymore, the current MKZ has unique sheet metal, though a lot of the glass is stil the same.

Not bad, though. Sorta reminiscent of an early-90s Volvo.

Yes, the current Fusion is atrocious. I don't understand why people seem to love the look of them.
